Question Asked:

The URL shortener for newer posts seems to not be generating shortened URLs. Posted 4 years ago by in Captix

Hi. My name is Bo Bartlett and I work for FaithVillage.com.  We recently noticed that the URL shortener now returns the full URL of the page instead of the cptr.it version of the URL. In some testing I have done it seems as though old pieces of content will still pull the cptr.it version of the URL.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Good catch, Bo.  Yes.  When you hit the account link limits, we stop shortening URLs via API and web interfaces.  Please check your email for additional information.

Thank You,

Andy

Hi, Bo.

The only reason that readily comes to mind is that something happened to your API key information.  Can you log into Capture with the named account to verify your API key or regenerate one?  If you need assistance with account information, please email support@44doors.com and we'll check into it further.

Thank You,

Andy

Thanks Andy. Would we get this behavior if we hit the short URLs limit?
